Maybe something about how parents deal with the tug-of-war that goes on internally regarding (healthy) selfishness (i.e., I want to travel when we retire) vs. having a child who will always live with you.
And maybe a parent with an adult child who struggled with this when their child was young who might offer some perspective on how he/she perceived it would be vs how it really is.
Sigh...can you tell what's been on my mind? :)
