Tell us your story

What do you want people to know about being a special-needs parent?

What do you wish people understood about parenting a child with a disability or chronic health condition?

Tell us in the comments! Louise

Tracy -- thank you so much for posting that link. It's a very honest and candid piece about what it's like to have so many "professionals" in your home -- including at night! How old is your son? I would love to hear about him. Thanks so much for sharing that piece! e-mail me if you'd like a copy of our magazine

"Special needs parent"
"Special needs child"
I would just like to say that I`m a parent first and foremost just like my child is a child first and foremost. Let`s try to make sure that labels are not the overriding thing that defines us. When that happens, there are negative stereotypes, unfortunately.

Thank you. Have a good evening.
