I have a little girl (7) who has a brain injury from Meningitis. I see her potential as unlimited, but day-to-day difficulties can be discouraging. I'm going to save this and read it every time we need some "oomph" put back into our day!! You have NO limits!!Kristinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13994083459235522823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447392662850613354.post-11534141583879128782015-04-06T12:18:38.914-04:002015-04-06T12:18:38.914-04:00Hi Jessica,

As for me, "I am, first and foremost, 'A human being, who happens to have a disability, and not a disabled person." And although I haven't experienced your academic success, or several of your personal freedoms, I'm willing to try again. For, I have found my niche by helping others and plan to go back to school. I wish that my cerebral palsy was a little less severe (spastic paraplegia), but it too is a part of normal.

Not wanting to be defined as "disabled", while learning judge others by the content of their character is a hard lesson to learn, but you seem to be doing okay.

Thanks for writing, and welcome to BLOOM, as the honour is mine.

Matt KamaratakisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447392662850613354.post-31120161784595670512015-04-02T22:42:47.020-04:002015-04-02T22:42:47.020-04:00Hi Jessica:
