I had my husband call and cancel an appointment (because I couldn't lie) this week because I really wanted to enjoy the sunshine and take a long walk instead of rushing to pick up my kiddo from school early and hustle to an appointment in which we wouldn't do much of anything.Krystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00674141448014190098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447392662850613354.post-77322602899199800992013-02-15T22:57:27.782-05:002013-02-15T22:57:27.782-05:00I really love this post, Angela, and can relate mo...I really love this post, Angela, and can relate more than you know. Not as a parent with a child who has special needs, but one who was in a "special class" both in elementary and high school! To look at me and even to talk to me you wouldn't be able to tell, but yes, I was indeed in a special class. Thanks to the love and support of my parents and good friends, I am a 56 year old woman who does very well in life. Not speaking financially, but independently and mentally. Continue on the way you are, and I agree with you that there is much more to life than medical appointments.

Greetings from Montreal, Canada.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12692170857496442623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447392662850613354.post-90537375038281742932013-02-14T10:58:02.789-05:002013-02-14T10:58:02.789-05:00I love this post and can completely relate. As a family we've laid some ground rules down too - one in, one out (http://www.todaysparent.com/blogs/special-needs-parenting/child-therapy-family-time). It is working well for us so far, even though we still continue to struggle with that balance. Well said, Angela. Anchel (@AnchelK)http://www.todaysparent.com/specialneedsnoreply@blogger.com
