The clients of this program packed sanitary napkins into boxes and also sewed baseballs. I remember one young man called Chester who was exceptionally good at sewing baseballs. These workers were paid very, very little for their labour. One man who name I cannot recall was young, fit and had anger issues. One of the other staff told me that his mother had abandoned him at Orillia. Perfectly healthy but unwanted babies were abandoned there with the sanction and assistance of the local political authorities.
