I brought the idea about getting more involved with transition planning or at least being an avenue for having more differently abled volunteers in our hospital volunteer program, hoping that some could lead to employment, not knowing that there was already a model. My developmentally disabled sis...I LOVE this post! My developmentally disabled sister worked for over twenty years for an organization in Tacoma, WA called L'Arche Farm and Garden.
